The United Women in Faith believes in the right of all people to have a life of peace. It is heart wrenching to see what is happening in the Middle East and not be in a position to help. However, the United Methodist Committee on Relief, UMCOR, and its' partner organizations work all around the globe to provide relief where it is needed. While the war happened so quickly, even now viable possibilities for relief are being quickly explored, the following is a statement from UMCOR. "We are saddened by the significant loss of life caused by the ongoing violence in the region. Global Ministries has issued a joint statement with the World Methodist Council and the Methodist Church in Britain, which you can read here. UMCOR is processing a grant for one humanitarian aid partner and is in communication with others to determine how best to deliver desperately needed food and emergency supplies to the many innocent victims of this crisis.
