Featured Speaker - Rev. Laurie Bayen from Windsor UMC
We are delighted that Pastor Laurie Bayen from Windsor UMC is available to be our featured speaker at the August 13th Los Rios District UWF Annual Celebration.
Pastor Laurie possesses a rich background of experiences. Her stated objective is “To serve God’s people effectively and faithfully as the United Methodist Church moves through a period of tumultuous change.” Pastor Laurie is currently serving as a solo pastorate in a small, warm and informal congregation in the Sonoma Wine Country. Her current focus is on discernment in a time of transition/aging of congregation. She has a love for and skill in singing, playing piano, and writing music. All of which came In handy when she needed to fill in as the church musician.
A dedicated supporter of environmental issues, Pastor Laurie was commissioned as a UM Global Ministries Earthkeeper in 2024. Global Ministries EarthKeepers is a training program to equip United Methodists in the United States for environmental stewardship. She is the founder of Sacred Ground project – smartphone app for Climate Justice and Creation Care outreach.
