Racial / Social Justice

Please go to the UWF National Website to read the Charter for Racial Justice and to learn what other eductional opportunities are available:
https://uwfaith.org/what-we-do/serve-and-advocate/racial-justice/

Submitting reports on Racial Justice / Social Justice Activities:
Racial Justice Reports are due August 30th. Please email reports to
Linda Schade [click on name to e-mail] as Connie Matthew-Warren will not attend
the Annual Celebration.

Racial Justice Reports are a paragraph identifying  a group that is
being held back by systems or institutions. Your unit did some study or
education and had an action that advocated for some individuals.
Advocacy takes time, and multiple actions. You don't need a new racial
justice project every year, but can have a continuation of the same
project.

Perhaps a new law came up for a vote, or you supported a new
project by the city council, contacted congress on upcoming legislation.

An example is our own unit where we held a fundraiser for a women's shelter. We educated our unit on the
history of the shelter, current practices and laws that effect the shelter, and their needs.
