As United women in Faith, we do lots of acts of charity and compassion. We help the poor, homeless and hungry. We are involved in homeless shelter, food pantries, and clothing thrift stores. We support groups in our communities that assist those in need. We are also called to acts of justice and advocacy. Advocating to end poverty, hunger, inequalities, and injustices. Educating ourselves and supporting those who are preventing hunger, homelessness, violence, joblessness, and poor education. Work to end those systems and policies that create and maintain an unjust society. We support the UN goal to end world hunger by 2030. The Farm Bill, if written well, is one policy that will improve nutrition and food distribution. Our Ca/Nv UWF conference is also looking at food scarcity, hunger, and climate changes. They will be holding an education on food scarcity and transportation and effect on carbon admission.
